Hvordan virker Oled skærme?

OLED er navnet på en struktur lavet af et stort antal organiske tynd hinde lag og 2 halvledere. Når den elektriske strøm passerer gennem denne struktur, producerer deten strålende glød. Denne funktion adskiller sig fra de LCD skærme vi kender. Da LCD-skærme bruges nu til dags kræve en hvid baggrundslys skal vises. Takket være denne funktion af OLED-skærme fremstilles meget fine og kvalitet billeder.

 

Fordelene ved OLED skærme er som følger:

I dag OLED skærme bruges i små størrelser på mobiltelefoner, bærbare musik/videoafspillere, musik systemer på køretøjer, digitale kameraer og PDA-type enheder. Detforetrækkes på grund af sin lave energi type og høj lysstyrke. I December 2007 forventes Sony at sælge OLED-tv i 11-tommer størrelse (ca. 27 cm). Desuden er arbejdeti flere firmaer sammen med 42 tommer OLED display fremstillet som en prototype.Det er imidlertid ikke i øjeblikket frigivet på grund af de høje omkostninger. Som følge af undersøgelser på dette område i de kommende år, bliver priserne på denne teknologi på et rimeligt niveau.

 

OLED skærme er også tilgængelige som lyskilder samt billeder. I de kommende år vil de pærer, som vi bruger i dag erstatte forsiden.
