¿Cómo funcionan las pantallas OLED?

OLED es el nombre dado a una estructura creada por un gran número de capas de película delgada orgánica y 2 semiconductores. Cuando la corriente eléctrica pasa a través de esta estructura, produce un resplandor radiante. Esta característica difiere de las pantallas LCD que conocemos. Debido a que las pantallas LCD utilizadas hoy en día requieren una luz de fondo blanco que se mostrará. Gracias a esta característica de pantallas OLED, se obtienen imágenes muy finas y de calidad.

 

Las ventajas de pantallas OLED son las siguientes:

– Pantallas excitantes: pantallas sin precedentes, muy delgadas, flexibles o transparentes

– Bajo consumo energético: bajo consumo energético, especialmente en la necesidad de dispositivos portátiles.

– Mayor luminosidad: mayor luminosidad y excelente calidad de imagen en todos los aspectos.

– Ligero: estructura muy delgada y flexible

 

Hoy en día pantallas OLED se utilizan en tamaños pequeños en teléfonos móviles, música portátil/reproductor de vídeo, sistemas de música en los vehículos, cámaras digitales y dispositivos PDA-Type. Se prefiere debido a su bajo tipo de energía y alto brillo. En diciembre de 2007, se espera que Sony venda televisión OLED en tamaño de 11 pulgadas (aprox. 27 cm). Además, el trabajo de varias empresas junto con la pantalla OLED de 42 pulgadas se fabrica como un prototipo. Sin embargo, actualmente no se libera debido a su alto costo. Como resultado de los estudios realizados en este campo en los próximos años, los precios de esta tecnología estarán a niveles razonables.

 

Pantallas OLED también están disponibles como fuentes de luz, así como imágenes. En los años venideros, las bombillas que usamos hoy en día sustituirán a la parte delantera.

 

La tecnología OLED comenzó a dar las primeras señales de que la vida diaria sería una vasta área de uso. Por ejemplo, usted será capaz de ajustar y utilizar un vestido hecho de OLED al color que desee.
