Opfindelsen af kalenderen

Kalendere er timesedler hvor tid er vist i en regelmæssig rækkefølge efter år, måneder, uger og dage. Kalendere er tilpasset astronomiske observationer i himlen. De tovigtigste sky observation køretøjer for menneskeheden var bevægelser af solen ogmånen.

 

I fortiden anvendes babyloniske kalenderen for første gang. Den babyloniske kalender, blev vedtaget som den første kalenderdag, brugt månekalender, som også blevbrugt af den islamiske rige. Månens kalender var kalender baseret på 29,5 dage mellem de to fuld måner i måneden. Et år er ifølge månekalender, 354 dage.
