La invención de la electricidad

En el primer sentido serio, el científico William Gilbert examinó la electricidad. A finales del siglo XVI, examinó la relación entre magnetismo y electricidad estática. El hombre que hizo la definición más realista de la electricidad era Benjamin Franklin. Según Benjamin Franklin, había un flujo eléctrico dentro de todas las sustancias de la naturaleza. La fricción entre ciertas sustancias causó que una porción de este flujo pasara a través a la otra sustancia. Hoy se nos dice que este flujo está compuesto por electrones cargados negativamente.
