Oppfinnelsen av elektrisitet

I den første alvorlige forstand undersøkte forskeren William Gilbert elektrisitet. På slutten av 1500-tallet undersøkte han forholdet mellom statisk elektrisitet og magnetisme. Det har også funnet ut at elektriske lastene er kalt og pluss.
