Kje je Alexandria Lighthouse?
Eden od sedmih čudes sveta, Alexandria Lighthouse se nahaja v Aleksandriji v Egiptu. Aleksandrija je drugo največje mesto na sredozemski obali Egipta.
Mesto Aleksandrija so odkrili in ustanovili Alexander Great na 382. pr. Mesto je dobilo ime po Aleksandru Veliki, ki je tudi ustanovitelj.
Mesto je znano po svoji veliki knjižnici, ki se nahaja zunaj strukture sedmih čudes sveta, imenovanih Alexandria Lighthouse. Aleksandrija je danes zelo pomembno mesto v turizmu.
Zgodovina svetilnika Alexandria:
Ustanovitelj mesta Aleksandrija, Aleksandar Veliki, je moral po izgubi življenja spremeniti Egiptovsko deželo. Potem so ljudje, ki živijo v regiji, bistveno povečali svoje trgovinske dejavnosti z Grki. Zaradi tega je bil potreben zelo velik svetilnik.
Tako se je tako začela zelo slavna zgodovina svetilnika v Aleksandriji. Gradnja tega velikega svetilnika se je začela v času Batlamyusa.
Ker je bil svetilnik v Aleksandriji velik, ga ni bilo mogoče dokončati v času Batlamyusa, gradnja luči pa je bila končana po začetku Batlamyjevega vladanja.
Po uničenju svetilnika s številnimi naravnimi nesrečami leta 1408 je sultan iz Mamluka, zapis o svetilniku, na tem območju zgradil trdnjavo.
