En av världens sju underverk, Alexandria Lighthouse ligger i Alexandria, Egypten. Alexandria är den näst största staden vid Egyptens medelhavskust.
Alexandria stad upptäcktes och grundades av Alexander Great på 382 B.C. Staden är uppkallad efter Alexander Great, som också är grundaren.
Staden är känd för sitt stora bibliotek, som ligger utanför strukturen av världens sju underverk som heter Alexandria fyr. Alexandria är en väldigt viktig stad när det gäller turism nuförtiden.
Historia Alexandria fyr:
Stiftaren av Alexandria, Alexander den Store, var tvungen att byta Egypten efter att ha förlorat sitt liv. Sedan har befolkningen i regionen ökat sin handel med grekerna väsentligt. Av denna anledning behövdes en mycket stor fyr.
Detta är den mycket härliga historien om fyren i Alexandria därmed började. Byggandet av den här stora fyren började på Batlamys tid.
Eftersom Alexandrins fyr var stor kunde den inte slutföras under Batlamyus-perioden och byggnaden av lyktan fullbordades efter att sonen Batlamyus började börja.
Efter förstörelsen av fyren med många naturkatastrofer inträffade år 1408, byggde sultanen av Mamluk, fyrverken, en fästning i denna region.
