Quels sont les types de prothèses dentaires?

Les prothèses dentaires sont divisées en prothèses fixes et prothèses mobiles.

Prothèse fixée: elle est divisée en prothèse fixe avec support implanté et prothèse de pont couronnée.

Prothèse mobile: prothèse à mouvement complet, prothèse partielle, prothèse mobile soutenue par l'implant.


Les prothèses amovibles supportées par l'implant sont classées selon les types d'articulations.

Les prothèses mobiles partielles sont divisées en deux, l'une est tressée et l'autre est un support sensible

Les prothèses entièrement mobiles sont divisées en deux, normales et soutenues.


Il existe des prothèses magnétiques appliquées aux patients qui n'ont pas trop de tissu de soutien, n'ont pas de dents sur leur bouche et ont une perte excessive de la mâchoire.


Parfois, le résultat souhaité ne peut être atteint dans les prothèses dentaires totales appliquées chez les patients complètement dépourvus de dents.

Cela se voit chez les patients présentant une perte extrême de la mâchoire. Les prothèses totales appliquées à ces patients peuvent sortir de la bouche du patient tout en mangeant ou en parlant.

Lorsqu'une prothèse magnétique est appliquée, la prothèse ne bouge pas. Manger et mâcher n'est pas gênant. Il retrouve la confiance en soi dans la vie sociale.
