Quais são os tipos de próteses dentárias?

As próteses dentárias são divididas em próteses fixas e próteses móveis.

Prótese fixa: é dividida em prótese fixa com suporte implantado e prótese de ponte coroada.

Prótese móvel: prótese em movimento completo, prótese de movimento parcial, prótese móvel movida a implante.


As próteses removíveis suportadas pelo implante são classificadas de acordo com os tipos de articulações.

As próteses móveis móveis são divididas em duas, uma está trançada e a outra é suporte sensível

As próteses totalmente móveis são divididas em duas, normais e suportadas.


Existem próteses magnéticas que são aplicadas a pacientes que não possuem tecido de suporte demais, não têm dentes na boca e apresentam perda excessiva de maxila.


Às vezes, o resultado desejado não pode ser alcançado no total de próteses dentárias aplicadas em pacientes totalmente desdentados.

Isso é visto em pacientes com extrema perda de maxila. As próteses totais aplicadas a esses pacientes podem sair da boca do paciente enquanto comem ou falam.
