Kadang-kadang hasil yang diinginkan tidak dapat dicapai dalam jumlah gigi palsu yang digunakan dalam pesakit tanpa gigi.

Ini dilihat pada pesakit dengan kehilangan tulang rahang yang melampau. Jumlah prostesis yang digunakan untuk pesakit ini boleh keluar dari mulut pesakit semasa makan atau bercakap.

Apabila prostesis magnetik digunakan, prostesis tidak bergerak. Makan dan mengunyah tidak menyusahkan. Ia memperoleh keyakinan diri dalam kehidupan sosial.
