Quali sono i tipi di protesi dentali?

Le protesi dentali sono suddivise in protesi fisse e protesi mobili.

Protesi fissa: è suddivisa in protesi fissa con supporto protetto e protesi a ponte coronato.

Protesi mobile: protesi in movimento, protesi in movimento parziale, protesi movimentata da impianto.


Le protesi rimovibili supportate da impianto sono classificate in base ai tipi di giunti.

Le protesi mobili parziali sono divise in due, una è intrecciata e l'altra è staffa sensibile

Le protesi completamente mobili sono divise in due, normali e supportate.


Ci sono protesi magnetiche che vengono applicate a pazienti che non hanno troppo tessuto di sostegno, non hanno denti sulla bocca e hanno eccessiva perdita di mascella.


A volte il risultato desiderato non può essere raggiunto in protesi totali applicate in pazienti senza denti.

Questo è visto in pazienti con perdita estrema di mascella. Le protesi totali applicate a questi pazienti possono uscire dalla bocca del paziente mentre mangiano o parlano.

Quando viene applicata una protesi magnetica, la protesi non si muove. Mangiare e masticare non sono fastidiosi. Riaprende la fiducia in se stessi nella vita sociale.
