¿Quién es Alfred Bernhard Nobel?

Alfred Bernhard Nobel (21 de octubre de 1833, Estocolmo, Suecia – 10 de diciembre de 1896, San Remo, Italia), químico e ingeniero sueco, inventor de la dinamita.

 

Buscó la forma de usar la nitroglicerina como sustancia explosiva. En 1863 comenzó a hacer una pequeña cantidad de nitroglicerina en Estocolmo. Al final de unos meses de investigación, el laboratorio colapsó con una explosión. Continuando su trabajo, Alfred Nobel fundó una nueva fábrica en 1865, y después de un tiempo, abrió su segunda fábrica. En 1864 él tomó los resultados de su investigación y encontró el polvo de la dinamita. Continuando su investigación, Nobel ha diseñado un nuevo tipo de pólvora llamada Balistit en 1877. En 1879, el Nobel fundó un laboratorio en el cercano París, donde encontró la pólvora repelente, que se llamaba pólvora sin humo durante sus estudios, consistente en la mezcla de nitrocelulosa de nitroglicerina en cantidades iguales.

 

Unos años más tarde, presentó una demanda contra el Gobierno británico sobre una sustancia explosiva llamada Kordit, pero perdió el caso. En una alianza contra Francia durante este período, Nobel cooperó con Italia, dejando París como resultado de las campañas contra Italia, se trasladó a San Remo, donde trasladó su laboratorio.

Nobel murió de hemorragia cerebral en San Remo en 1896. En su testamento, quería que su herencia fuera usada en la dirección de los premios Nobel y las 33,2 millones coronas que se presentarían al servicio de la humanidad cada año.

Más tarde en 1968, el banco sueco decidió dar un premio económico en memoria de Alfred Nobel, y el premio fue otorgado por primera vez en 1969.
