Siapakah Alfred Bernhard Nobel?

Alfred Bernhard Nobel (21 Oktober tahun 1833, Stockholm, Swedia-10 Desember 1896, San Remo, Italia), Swedia kimiawan dan insinyur, penemu dinamit.

 

Dia mencari cara untuk menggunakan nitrogliserin sebagai bahan peledak. Pada tahun 1863 ia mulai membuat sejumlah kecil nitrogliserin di Stockholm. Pada akhir beberapa bulan penelitian, laboratorium runtuh dengan sebuah ledakan. Melanjutkan karyanya, Alfred Nobel didirikan pabrik baru pada tahun 1865, dan setelah beberapasaat, dia membuka pabriknya kedua. Pada tahun 1864, dia mengambil hasil penelitian dan menemukan bubuk dinamit. Melanjutkan penelitian, Nobel telah merancangjenis baru mesiu yang disebut Balistit pada tahun 1877. Pada 1879, Penghargaan Nobel mendirikan laboratorium di Paris dekat, di mana ia menemukan mesiu penolak,yang disebut berasap mesiu selama studinya, terdiri dari nitrocellulose campuran nitrogliserin dalam jumlah yang sama.

 

Beberapa tahun kemudian, dia mengajukan gugatan terhadap pemerintah Inggris pada bahan peledak yang disebut kordit, tetapi ia kehilangan kasus. Dalam aliansi melawan Prancis selama periode ini, Nobel bekerjasama dengan Italia, meninggalkan Paris sebagai hasil dari kampanye melawan Italia, pindah ke San Remo, dimana ia pindah laboratoriumnya.

Nobel meninggal karena pendarahan otak di San Remo pada tahun 1896. Dalam kehendakNya, dia ingin pusakanya untuk digunakan dalam arah hadiah Nobel dan mahkota 33.2 juta untuk dipersembahkan kepada pelayanan kemanusiaan setiaptahun.

 

Penghargaan ini akan diberikan dalam total lima cabang, termasuk fisika, kimia, kedokteran atau fisiologi, sastra dan perdamaian. Penghargaan Nobel akan telah membuat sebuah perdebatan besar sebelum perjanjian ini. Namun, pada tahun 1900, hadiah Nobel dalam pemerintah Swedia didirikan Yayasan Nobel, yang diberikan secara teratur. Kemudian pada tahun 1968, bank Swedia memutuskan untuk memberikanhadiah ekonomi mengenang Alfred Nobel, dan penghargaan pertama kali diberikanpada tahun 1969.
